After careful research, we decided to use Sahara Trek Tour and we were not disappointed. From the moment we sent our first email inquiring about the various options, Luiza was very responsive and eager to help create an itinerary that suited our interests while allowing us to enjoy the culture, traditions, food and the people of Morocco.

When we landed in Casablanca we were met by our driver Mustafa and he did not leave our side until we got back to the hotel where we prepared to return to the United States. As two women traveling to a foreign country where we did not speak the language and did not know all of the cultural nuances, it was very reassuring having a local with us for the duration of the trip. Mustafa made us feel safe and was also a master at getting us to our various locations quicky and safely (there was a storm while we were there and he was able to take a network of local roads to get around the flooded highways/main roads).

The itinerary put together by Luiza was truly amazing: we started in the seaside town of Essaouira, then headed to Marrakesh where we roamed the alley ways of the medina and enjoyed local performers and a meal in the square; hot air balloon rides, authentic hammam experience, journey through the snow capped Atlas mountains, glamping in the Sahara, lunch with a Berber man to learn about the culture of the Berber people; strolling through the kasbah of Fez and learning the secret behind the blue walls of Chefchaouen all this and more in 10 days.

This trip exceeded my expectation and would love to do it again!

We were in Morocco for one week and Karim was with us every day... read more except one day and we missed him so much that one day, Karim is very professional and thoughtful, his flexibility was very much appreciated by my friends and I. eg. We missed our flight getting into Morocco, and arrived almost eight hours later, Karim was patient and understanding, he still managed to take us to all the places we wanted to visit, he made us feel safe and relaxed as if we knew each other from before . He drives with confidence and his driving skills was courteous. My friends and I planned to visit Morocco again as long as we will get Karim as our designated driver .Karim you are the best and we appreciate you.

  2025 December Moroccan Tour  - I knew going into the trip there would be long hours of car travel, but many of the times were underestimated. Consider incorporating rail travel. I got used to... read more Karim's driving and wasn't so car sick after a while, but his constant pressing the gas pedal off and on was still jerky most of the time even after Louisa talked to him. He was defensive about his driving after we complained to Louisa.
Karim is a nice young man, but communication was a challenge.
The worst experience was at the carpet cooperative. We'd told Karim the day before that we did NOT want to go to the carpet cooperative, but the next day Jawed insisted, which was against what we wanted. The man prefaced the meeting with "no pressure", but that was a bold faced lie. He was relentless. I took Jawed off to the the side and asked him to please intervene on my behalf and end the badgering by this man, and then Jawed and Karim started in on me. I'm sure they got a cut from our purchases. I don't care if it's Moroccan culture or not, the experience was dreadful and I would not recommend the carpet cooperative it to anyone.
The cooking class was enjoyable, and guides were knowledgeable, but the tipping got out of hand for the guides.
